Grace and peace to you from God our Father and our LORD Jesus Christ. Sunday, May 11, our sermon text is Revelation 7:9-17. This text is a future vision of the church. We are invited to envision a gathering too great to count. It’s a diverse group of people made up of every nation, tribe, people and language standing as equals before God’s throne of grace. They are united in their praise and worship before the throne, because of Christ the lamb who was slain.
Who is this group of people? They are the ones who made it through the great tribulation. (See Matthew 24) The great tribulation is a time of great human suffering, anguish and darkness. Jesus told his followers that they are the light of the world, we the church carry that light into the darkness of tribulation that our world faces. This is who we are supposed to be as the church. Join us on Sunday at 11:00 to learn more.
